I’ve been personally challenging myself to create new habits in my routine in order to feel happier, more fulfilled, and educated. I don’t like doing these kinds of difficult tasks on my own, so I would love it if you joined me!
My first challenge is simple. One book a month. Just one. That may seem like a lot to a lot of you, but we can do it! And for those who are saying that one book is just not enough, I challenge you that just for a couple of months, we read only one book. I plan to have so much good information sink in my little brain that I want to fully dedicate myself to that knowledge. I don’t want to read through a book to see how fast I can read it without giving the content much thought. And I think that it is great if we started off with “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. Now, I kinda cheated, I started in the last week of June. But it will still be tough for me to finish! So I will keep at it.
The main reason I want to start off with this book is since this blog partially dedicates itself in pursuing whatever it is that gives us happiness, I wanted to get an entrepreneur’s expert advice on how-to start off the day with success in mind. How are your mornings? Are your mornings usually awesome? Or you’re just not a morning person? For years, I would wake up at 5 am for no reason. Well, other than to workout, nothing else. But life started handing me more things to do throughout my day and I started decreasing my sleep, in turn making me feel unhappy and stressed. If you could fit in 5-10 things to do in your morning that you “don’t have time for” during the day (come on, I’ve said that, too!), would you, even if that meant waking up earlier than usual? I want to give this challenge a try. Elrod gives you the strategies to start off your day as if it were Christmas morning everyday! Now, I want to be THAT excited! If we can habitually train ourselves to become productive, I feel that, naturally, we would be able to achieve goals faster. I would like to start the 30-day challenge next week. Who’s with me??
