My Miracle Morning Challenge: Week 1

August 20, 2015

Top of the mornin’ to ya!

Week 1 of the Miracle Morning is on its way and I couldn’t be happier. Well, actually, happy that I started the process but mornings like this one made it particularly difficult to love the darkness of the room and stillness of the world. Ha!

It’s day three of the MM and although I am excited overall about what I will be gaining, I have been wanting to press snooze so often.

Here’s my weekly check-in on the MM!

Day 1:

5:30 a.m. Exhausted, but a bit more motivated than usual.

Woke up, brushed teeth, drank water, started my LIFE S.A.V.E.R.S. (detailed in Hal’s book).

Made a to-do list for the following day.

Day 2:

A stupid text message woke me up at 4 in the morning. I got up from bed at 4:30 a.m. and started my LIFE S.A.V.E.R.S.

Had an hour to spare.

Day 3:

Back to 5:30 a.m.

Very loose LIFE S.A.V.E.R.S. and pushed through them out of order.

So far: The rest of the day has felt great. I do feel more energized and I am happier knowing I have already accomplished so much and I am in no rush to do anything when I get home from work.

Oh, and the journal I am currently using for this process is the Fitbook Fit Happens journal you can find here.

I have also been planning my day through this baby, also found at Target. How are y’all liking my Jamberry nails? Of course I have to match!

Who has tried the MM and what have been your first impressions? I’d love to know!

My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for.
Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs?
I wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on a lot of the subjects
you write with regards to here. Again, awesome weblog!

      Hey Amanda!
Both of them I bought at Target; if you can’t find the Fitbook journal in the notebook section, you can find it in their gym essentials section (usually where the yoga mats and DVDs are). You can try on their Fitbook website also! Best of luck in your MMs. I usually suggest writing your personal goals in the mornings that you absolutely cannot do in the evenings. Mine are gym, meditating, prayer and spending time with God, and journaling. I like to do my reading in the evenings before I go to sleep.
      Thank you!

The Budget Diaries: My Experience with Beggars

www.mysanantonio.com image My post reflects on a recent time when my husband and I were walking into church. Just outside of the building, a young man with tattered clothing and dirt on his face walked quickly up to us. We looked up and listened to a short sermon: “Do you have any money to spare?” […]

You continue to look at the shiny, new rock on your left hand. You can hardly wait for the big day. You already have in mind your venue, your wedding dress, your bridal party. And you just got proposed to an hour ago! If you just became engaged to your soul mate, congratulations! I would […]

The Beginner’s Guide to Building a Budget

It’s nearing the end-of-the month, which means…BUDGET PARTY! (Insert crazy party music here) I’ve shared a bit about my obsession regarding attempting to live a debt-free lifestyle here, and the key to reaching that is our monthly budget. Now, what is a mid-20 girl to do not keeping all of the money she earns from […]
