Happy cleaning day, everyone!
I’ve FINALLY accomplished my seemingly never-ending task of cleaning out my closet. You will not understand the grueling hours this took. I took on the Kon Mari method from our September book, in order to:
- fold differently and efficiently
- declutter my closet and bathroom (since they share the same room)
- live a happier and more productive life!
I must say, I am impressed! Here are some of my before photos of when I pulled all things out, as the author suggests.
Overflowing waterfall of clothing.
Deciding what to get rid of and what to keep. Ay ay ay!
The beginning of my discard pile.
Dog completely bored of me.
After about six hours, I finally had accomplished getting rid of over 100 items. I couldn’t keep count, to be honest with you. But it was a whole lot!
I wish I could have done it this fast!
Yes, that’s just me in super-fast mode!
That is a short-video on folding the Kon Marie-way: vertically and in thirds in order to preserve the clothing and to see the clothing so you know what you’ll be wearing more easily.
Here are some after photos:
Guess how much I threw out?? This includes donations.
It felt so good to clear my mind of unnecessary items I was hoarding. I know it will all go to a good and necessary home.
Next will be tackling another big section…books! Stay tuned! Have any of you attempted to declutter with the Kon Mari Method and only kept the items that sparked joy? Tell me more about it!
