I asked a close friend and cousin, Sabrina from The Golden Speck, to help me come up with an idea for inexpensive entertainment. With the holidays right around the corner, we mustn’t neglect our loved ones while we are trying to serve others along the way! Below you will find her post. Thanks, Sabrina!
Having a date night at home will most likely seem lame to most people. However, for Scott and I at this time in our life- it was perfect.
I knew I wanted to have a date night at home, I just wasn’t sure what we would do. We are on a massive budget cut over these next few months for the wedding.
We hardly ever make dinner together- these days it is usually me making dinner. I thought it would be nice for us to make dinner, together. I searched for dinner ideas on Pinterest and pinned some options for Scott to choose from. I also looked atIgnite_Date_Night‘s Instagram for inspiration.
I also recorded a Christmas movie for Scott and I to watch while we decorated our Christmas tree.
Scott chose Hash Brown Chicken Casserole for dinner. This was one of the dinner options I chose and so happy Scott picked it out. Because, who doesn’t love anything with tater tots!?
An hour later, dinner was served and it was delicious. For dessert we had banana pudding ice cream. (It was store bought)
Our night was simple and perfect. I can’t wait for the next one.
