Hey y’all 🙂
Week 2 is finit of the Whole 30 and I couldn’t be happier with our progress. I’ve had a mixture of feelings and cravings on certain days. I tried my best to note down what days I was feeling what, but why would I bore you with those details? So far, The Whole 30 book has had some awesome recipes that haven’t disappointed. There hasn’t been a day where I’ve felt hungrier, so I am assuming that our portions and ratios of fat to protein have been great. I have been eating a lot more salads, another plus and something strange for me (yes, I’m Paleo, but I love roasted and sauteed veggies. It’s always been difficult for me to eat raw salads!).
Things I’m grateful that I’ve gotten from continuing the Whole 30 without any cheats:
- My darling best friend and husband has been doing this with me and has been so strong! Unbelievable the courage the man has.
- My jeans are fitting better again, and as far as I know, I’m a size 4 (all jean sizes vary, don’t you think??)
- I’ve had a mixture of “energy” spurts. Some days are full of energy, some are full of being tired. But I’m not near the end just yet!
- I am reading labels once again. Even when you go Paleo, you forget to read what’s in front of you as long as it says “natural.” We get lazy, too.
We have eaten out a couple of times this week. Once was at the movies (which was a horror story. Smelling popcorn and pizza was so tempting), and the other was at La Madeleine (we weren’t prepared for this one as we were out and about when we chose it. Low and behold, they have ONE Whole 30 compliant meal. Check out the salad section.)
A few fun W30 pics below.
What are your reasons for the Whole 30? Mine aren’t weight-loss goals, although I know I already lost weight. I just want to go back to being conscious about what goes in my mouth! I hope this next week is a breeze!
