Project Pan is coming along nicely! I have been able to find easy ways to help me project pan nicely. Here are some tips to help you get through some items under your sink faster.
Use the smaller bottles first.
Gather the items that you have used already and never finished. In this category, you can also gather the small travel bottles that you have not used on any trips (if you haven’t used it by now, you WILL NOT use it “one day!”). When you use these bottles up first, you will create instant motivation by finishing products off faster rather than starting off with a large bottle and losing motivation by not being going through it quick enough.
Look at the expiration date.
Don’t use items that have already expired; this is your only ticket out of using these items. If they are close to their expiration date, throw them into the category above and use these items ASAP.
Samples, samples, samples.
I used to think samples were so awesome because they’re free. Then I realized that my drawers were drowning with samples! Pile all of your samples together and place them in a visible container to remind you to at least use one of these a week. Don’t worry, someone will send you free samples anyways so you will always have some at hand, but you need to use them as soon as you acquire them!
Leave new/full bottles last.
By leaving new bottles last, usually the expiration date is later, and you will have a chance to clear up more room by using up the bottles that have less in them or the smaller bottles.
Use items you don’t like (optional).
There’s quite a few items I wanted to throw out “just because.” Just because they aren’t up to par with my current tastes or because I have shopped a totally different brand recently. But there are so many things, like eye shadows, that are still good! Find a creative way to use some of these items. I use the palette below daily to work because it’s a light and neutral color. I am not too hot about the colors but they work. If you are not liking the way the shadows are lasting throughout your day, invest in a durable eye shadow primer to make you fall in love with the current palette you need to use. It may become your new favorite!
Mark your items.
Make sure to mark your items off every couple of weeks or so to physically see progress. This always motivates me to keep using the item!
Don’t overdo it.
Use your items with love. Don’t squirt out a giant glob of lotion just to be able to finish it faster. Use the items as you normally would; remember, these items WILL go away soon because you are using them daily and intentionally.
Take the items everywhere you go.
If you go to the gym, don’t forget to pack your daily PP items in your bag; carry a makeup bag in your purse or tote and use the items how you usually would. Leave the items on your sink in a pretty basket so you can see them daily and you won’t forget to use them!
