Happy June, folks!
At least I hope it’s a happy day for y’all!
I came to the realization that just like recent years, everything seems to be flying by. I recall sitting down in my high school classrooms waiting for the second hand to touch the minute hand, then on to touch the hour hand. It was always a drag and the school days were so long!
Obviously I regret not appreciating how “slow” the time went by. Soon in college, without a regular routine and doing whatever the heck I wanted, which was a lot more fun than not, my days became shorter, and I started struggling with having to keep a work-social-academics-life balance. Which (much to your surprise) I didn’t know how to handle one. Now, some habits I created back then have creeped up. (Should I watch GOT or should I clean the kitchen?…) It’s stupid decisions that turn into difficult ones, and then I choose the most unproductive choice sometimes, and I end up regretting not doing said task the following day.
This week/weekend, it’s time to reassess your goals. Notice in your planner:
- where you have fallen behind
- what areas you can improve on
- what small action steps you can take to reach a bigger project for the month
- what did you appreciate the last month
- what are you grateful for
- work on at least one major project this month
Let’s catch up together and continue to move forward strongly with 2016!
