It’s been a good weekend for many reasons but one most important thing of all: we did nothing for the majority of it except hang with the children. It’s good to relax once in a while, and I feel like we don’t do much of that now-a-days as “millenials” working full-time, trying to maintain a social life, and dive into new hobbies we see on Pinterest once in a while.
This week, we accidentally became a foster family again and picked up a new dog off the streets. He came to our porch and did not leave for a while. I caught him on our Nest cam, and I ran outside to verify it was a dog (the small shape seemed like a cat, and dogs never come up to our porch). I called him over and he came walking back towards me, tail wagging and happily prancing.
I inspected him. He seemed young, flea-infested, spine protruding, weak and malnourished. Poor babe.
My husband and I could not refuse to care for this dog temporarily. He is sweet, rarely barks, loves to cuddle, and is just tiny. He is finally gaining more weight in less than a week but he definitely is staying a small dog! After taking him to our local Wellness on Wheelz, he got his necessary shots and passed all tests. So, he’s good to go! We’ve named him Houston since he was found on Houston street (of course). He loves to cuddle with our big dogs and is attached to our hip. He is 2-3 years old (from what the vet could determine) and does well with other dogs.
Check out some of these photos of the pups playing and having a good time. They love weekends with their parents!
