My Very Strange Weekend Crafting

January 17, 2017

Hi everyone! I am not a known crafter, but I started making decor and gifts a couple of years ago to save more money. I wasn’t all into it because most of the time, the projects I picked were out of my knowledge base and I had to buy the entire list (sometimes DIY is pricey and inconvenient!) at once. Therefore, I have a lot of things in my closet that I can use as gifts for the next five years. Nonetheless, I have been doing several things to better our little rehabbed home.

So for whatever reason, the Pinterest fairy bit me in the butt and I woke up crafting. Every. Day. For a week.

I made these, and some cupcake soaps, I started my coffee bar and my gallery wall for our master bedroom, a makeup magnetic board, some vanity art…not to mention I cooked dinner every evening this week and had meal-prepped our lunches, kept the kitchen and bedroom clean, and of course, worked full-time during the day. Whaaaaaaaaaa???

Have any of you guys felt like finally doing everything on your Pinterest boards?? YOLO and you need to make the best of it. Bahahaha.

Below are some photos of what I did or have started.

Well, I clearly need to go on the hunt for more pictureless frames for my gallery wall in our master bedroom

I’ll post more photos of the other items I mentioned when I’ve finished. Has anyone gone this crafty crazy?? What projects are y’all on at the moment?

xoxo,
Brissa

New Book Update: The Year Without a Purchase

New Book Update: The Year Without a Purchase

Earlier this month, I began reading The Year Without a Purchase: One Family’s Quest to Stop Shopping and Start Connecting by Scott Dannemiller, and I must say, I am finding it quite surprising. Dannemiller, so far, has good writing talent. He makes common things funny and relatable, and touches on points right away. I have not […]

I Finished the Whole 30: Update and Thoughts

Woohoo! So last week I was thinking, “I can’t wait for this challenge to end!” And this morning I said, “maybe I won’t have honey in my tea like I normally would pre-whole30.” Who am I? There’s been a major difference this fourth round (I’ve done it the past three years towards the beginning of […]

Say Yes to Bacteria: The AO Biome Solution

Hey there! If you’ve been keeping up with your 2016 intentions, you know that one of mine is to be more “natural” (whatever that may mean in the end. Too much information can lead to organic overload!). I wanted to review a product I have been using for the past month called AO Biome, a.k.a Mother […]
